I am convinced that this is a new breed of Georgia Bulldogs leadership. Murray will have the offense focused, and the defense will show vast improvement following the bye week. The Bulldogs will mix up the run and pass, and make big plays early in both.Look for the starters to be on the bench within the first two drives of the second half.Score Prediction: UGA 48, North Texas 17 Stat Line Prediction: Aaron Murray four touchdowns
“I gotta go fishing. I love fishing. That’s my little hobby I like to do in my spare time. Just relax and fish and see what bite,” Smith said. “Sometimes it’s just good to get away for a minute. Don’t even have to think about football.”He’s not one to throw those fish back, either: turning the day’s catch into dinner is one of Smith’s favorite parts of the whole process.
“Brim, catfish, bass, whatever’s biting. I’ll pull it up out of there, clean it up. I got a video on Instagram, too, I’ll show you how to clean them fish,” he said. “[My friend] got a big pond in Milledgeville, so that’s where I go. Go fish in that pond and everything bite. And everything we catch, we clean and cook.”
The University of Georgia Athletic Association is paying University of North Texas $975,000 to travel to Athens …The agreement between the two schools, which was signed in 2008, stipulates that Georgia must give North Texas 4,500 tickets to sell to its fans. Any tickets that were not sold by Aug. 30 were returned to the UGAAA. Georgia also allotted North Texas 300 complimentary tickets.
The game with North Texas was originally scheduled for Aug. 31, 2013, however, in 2009, the two schools agreed to move the game to September in order to enable the Bulldogs to take on the Clemson Tigers on Aug. 31.
The full $975,000 must be received by North Texas by Jan. 31, 2014.
Penn State and West Virginia announced that they have indeed reached an agreement on a future home-and-home series. Penn State will host the Mountaineers on September 2, 2023, in Beaver Stadium and the Nittany Lions will travel to Morgantown on August 31, 2024.The two programs last played in 1992.
The two football programs met every year between 1947-1992, and the first meeting came back in 1904. All told, the two have met 59 times; that’s the third-most against a single team for both Penn State and West Virginia, with Pittsburgh and Syracuse serving as each program’s most-played rivalries.
The Nittany Lions own a significant 48-9-2 edge in the series.
4. Reversing course for Georgia run D: The Bulldogs have allowed a whopping 211.5 yards per game on the ground in their first two games, putting them 102nd in the nation in the category. They’re also allowing 6.2 yards per carry. It’s worth noting that Georgia opened up with a schedule as tough as anybody’s, playing a pair of top-15 teams out of the gate. But figures like that won’t get it done when Georgia gets into the meat of its SEC schedule. This weekend’s matchup against Conference USA foe North Texas is a chance for the Bulldogs to shore up things on the defensive end before a huge showdown with renowned running team LSU the following week.
Clowney is frustrated with the coaches, the coaches are frustrated with each other, the fans are frustrated with the universe, and ESPN has a new explanation every week for why their low-watt star has been, to this point, all smoke.
The newest explanation is my favorite – bone spurs. Apparently, a condition that he has dealt with since high school and didn’t merit attention during the offseason is an explanation for his struggles. The real explanation for Clowney’s lack of production is that there is no lack of production.

Did you see the shot that Jarvis Byrd, NC State, took on the chin from Clemson's Isaiah Battle, it looked like a clean upper-cut, he was ejected, however he should be removed from college football, no ifs ands or butts. This is uncalled for, this guy is a Thug , I'm just sayin' "GO DAWGS" GATA
Clowney should have kept his mouth shut in the off season. Saying QBs were scared of him and talking about taking money away from OL linemen. As talented as he is, if I were a NFL team I wouldn't pick him.
@dougscoffee I respect your opinion, but I have to admit to you that I disagree. This is why.I think his comments were 2 taking out of contest. Clowney is the same football player he was in 2012 and in 2011. There are players who do far worse things that make a couple of comments at a press conference. I'm not going to assume he is a bad player or has bad character base on those comments or because he plays for South Carolina.
Have you heard of him cheating? Have you heard of him taking money? Have you heard of him signing 1,000 plus autographs in one sitting and getting cash for it? Have you heard of him drinking or doing drugs? Have you heard of him getting in fights? Have you heard of him sexually assaulting women? Neither have I.
He is a good football player, a freak athlete, and from all accounts is a good team mate, takes care of business on and off the field in the class room and his personal life as well. He should be a good player in the NFL, but who knows. I don't like the media hyping players any more than you do, but I know that Clowney is not Manziel or even Jeremy Hill or Terrell Pryor. I don't agree what Clowney said, but I am not going judge if he can play or not or judge his character based on 2 comments when the media were hyping him up and egging him on to say something. Hopefully, he learned from that experience and won't make the same mistake again.
