First off, this talk of it wouldn't really be Georgia winning the eastern division and they would be backing into the SECCG if they did so, is just a bunch of BS. Really? I thought the season is 12 games long and there are 8 conference games. At the end of the season, the team that has won the most conference games for each division is declared the division champion winning the right to represent their division in the SECCG. That is why the games are played people. I guarantee you that none of the other fan bases of the other eastern division games will complain if their team won the division and went to the SECCG.
Of course, as Georgia is a eastern SEC division team, it is always better to win the eastern division title, go to the SECCG, and have a chance to win the conference than to not and be the team that is sitting home that weekend. Sure, Georgia may not win the division title. The Dawgs are in the hold right now. They have to win the rest of their conference games to have a shot. Sure, if Georgia does make it to the SECCG, they may get beat, but they could also win. Sure it sucks to lose, and after starting 3-1, Georgia is now 4-3. However, the season isn't over till that final game is played ladies and gents.
