Here are the final SEC team defense stats for the season and bowl games. There is nothing new to say about these numbers. They must improve or there will be torches and pitchforks next fall.

This is amazing stats. I would like to see past years. Texas A&M, Auburn, and Missouri w D's ranked 10-14? You would think they like us would have been struggling for a winning record. I have never seen D's so poor or O's so superior. I moaned about our 85 to 99 yd D lapses but then I watched every other bowl team except, K-State, Stanford, & Michigan State give up plays like that cheap Halloween candy S FL Dog mentioned. Did these type Stats occur when the "Hurry up" Offenses started? Is this an anomaly or will it continue? Could it be bc O's are playing against same ole' same ole' w no new innovations or changes? Old 5-2' or 6-2' D's would do better than this? In bowl games the TE's and RB's had field days w the Safeties & LBs mismatch. Personally I always felt the best pass Defense was a pass rush. Times they are a changin'

Points.....we ranked worse in scoring defense. And it wasn't all special teams. Our D just gave up points like cheap candy at Halloween.

And Auburn played for the NC with that defense? Will always wonder how far Dawgs could have gone if no single player on offense for hurt, guessing 11-1.

Did you ever think you would see SEC defenses get owned like they have this year? I sure didn't.
