BRB - tried to find the safety at #25.  He wasn't anywhere.  247 has his name:   Khane Pass.  Maybe a typo, just FYI

Tough class to rank right now as this is the most talent I've seen in the state in quite some time. It's hard to argue against Hyatt as No.1 in the state as he is probably the best OT in the nation and will play immediately at Clemson. Though D'Andre Walker is a much better prospect than Arden Key, IMO. I'll be interested to see where these rankings are after their SR season. So much talent in the state.

Good job, guys. I think the list is interesting for its similarities rather than its differences

If Brad Stewart is not in top 25 then somebody is not watching enough film. He's a honor's kid as well.

time to add DawgyStyle's and make a composite list

Arden Key and Kaleb Kim jump out as the biggest differences of opinion to me.  Good work and thanks.  will need to keep this pinned for a bit.  Thanks!

Both of y'all have big difference of an opinion on Chuma Edoga.

It is technically Burkes'.  "A panda walks into a restaurant..."

@OconeeDawg706  OD, Hyatt has a big upside, but needs to add some bulk before playing on the collegiate level. Say 20-25 pounds at least. I see him redshirting. Don't really see any of Georgia's blue chip o-lineman starting as freshmen.Thompson and Bryant are closest to plug and play.

@mjk1962  I'm admittedly not as strong on guys 1.5+ outside the metro area.  Kid looks like a player though, hadn't heard of him before.  Tremendous ball skills, leaping ability and hands.  Would like to see him go up against a little stronger competition than his team's 2A schedule before I considered him for a top 25 spot.

Brad Stewart is not in my top 35 from watching film.......good player tho,

@Bulldawg36  Eh, it's only 6 spots.  I think we have the same thoughts on him to be honest.  Extremely athletic and well balanced left tackle.  I think in most years he'd be the #1 OT or #1 lineman in the state, but with Hyatt and Wilson they're hard to beat.

Kaleb I think is a swing guy who could play just about anything, but I don't think he is as dominant as the others on this list.

Key for me has similar physical potential to Lorenzo Carter.  I think there are a lot of comparisons that could be made there.  The difference right now being is that Carter came from a very established program and had more polish at this point.

@mjk1962 @OconeeDawg706  Ah, the old plug and play projection, that's a tough one.  I'd say Mitch, Terry, and Preston would be the only ones who I think could start as freshman as of now.  I think there are a lot who could work their way into playing time and very few who would absolutely need a year of seasoning.

@bigredballer you need o re evaluate your film and take to the coaches at the Junior All Star game, that Stewart kid tore up the All star junior game that was on TV. All the coaches said he was the top player at the game hands down. Coach Ball is in constant contact with him as is Clemson, Auburn, FSU and Notre Dame... Also, his team plays AAAA and AAAA through out the year. I have seen him play against Camden County, McEachern, Effingham Co etc... He has balled against all of them.

I would say Preston Williams, Shadell Bell, Jaysen Stanley and a couple others are more polished. Stewart has potential, no doubt about it, but top 25 would be a stretch.

@mjk1962 @bigredballer  Well that's just not true.  I saw plenty of kids last year with more polish than Stewart.  His routes are rounded, he doesn't read many zones from what I can tell, not a great deal of route variation, and I almost never see him line up against a guy who can stick with him.  So no, I wouldn't say he's as polished as anyone in the state.

@bigredballer  Stewart is as polished as any high school wideout. They all need to work on their route running. He catches the ball with his hands and shows good concentration.

@ManOnFire @lowcountrydawg4911@bigredballer

yeah a lot of these kids fly under the radar, The Calhoun game he played DB as well and made the hit on their top D-1 prospect at WR that cause a fumble. He WR was never the same the rest of the game. I'm just glad the kid was ok. Benedictine then rolled on to win I think 35 to 12. I'm not associated with Benedictine or that Stewart kid. We played against him and he killed us along with everyone else in the state. Lamar beat them but that Stewart kid beat those two DB's gong to tech the whole game. The QB from BC just had a bad game. He did catch a 45 year bomb that would have been a game changer but Stewart's foot was on the line. We have played BC for 2 years now and that team last year would have made noise in AAA, AAAA and AAAAA. That school use to play in the highest classification until two years ago. We played the kid in baseball and basketball...he was all region in both of those too as well as All State in baseball. I'll be glad when he is GONE. lol

@lowcountrydawg4911 @bigredballer  Well, they played 1 AAAA team this year, Effingham Co who is a decent football team, but not great.  Calhoun and Lamar are legit but it doesn't look like he had 'great' games against them.  I'll keep my eye out for him and next time I drop by to see Coach Sphire or Coach Hockman, I'll be sure to ask.

He reminds me a little bit of DeAngelo Yancey from the 2013 class that went to Mays except Yancey had a little bit more in his route tree and was about 10 pounds heavier.  I thought he was a steal when Kentucky had him, then they let him go and he started as a freshman at Purdue.

I wasn't saying he is not a good player, but the state is LOADED and I don't think he is as polished as some others. Just my opinion.

Wilson is likely headed to Ohio State and I really think he is behind several guys on our board
