Georgia Basketball Fans Sound Off During Home Win

Earlier this season, Georgia beat Missouri in an overtime thriller in Columbia. So when the Tigers from Mizzou traveled to Athens for the rematch, home fans wanted to see the action live. These dedicated Dawgs talked to Bulldawg Illustrated reporting interns Morgan Weeks and Logan Booker about why they came and what they love about the team.

The Dawgs (16-11) put together a solid game to beat the Tigers for a second time with a score of 71-56. Charles Mann was Georgia’s leading scorer with 19 points but Marcus Thornton followed close behind with 15. The Dawgs remain in third place in the Southeastern Conference and will head to Fayetteville, Arkansas to face the Razorbacks (18-9) on Saturday.

Free tix to students and still can't get the place 1/2 full for a natIonally televised game. Went to Columbia Saturday for the game and they had 12,500 in attendance with a much, much worse team. Really embarrassing to see stegman empty on ESPN. C'mon dawg fans...

Good win last night.  Will be tough to pull a win out of Fayetteville, but it CAN be done!  Go Dawgs!

@AvlDawg  It does stink to have so much empty- I wish they would after a certain point in the game let the folks up high come down and fill in so it looks better.  The students there were in the game last night and definitely were rowdy and cheering!
