Per Georgia Bulldogs’ head basketball coach Mark Fox’s twitter account, he will be footing the bill for an additional 500 student tickets when his team takes on Vermont Wednesday night in Athens for the opening round of the NIT
UGA announced Sunday that the first 500 students to arrive for the 8 p.m. game would be granted free admission, and the ones who showed up afterwards would have to pay $4. However, it now appears that with Fox purchasing the next 500, that the first 1,000 students will be granted free admission.
That’s $2,000 he will be saving for the students.
Now, there is no excuse for the student body to show up loud and proud Wednesday night to help their team beat the Catamounts!
After Fox declared the seond 500 to students to be free, it appears the UGA Athletic Association stepped in and declared ALL students to be admitted into the game for free.
