Gym Dawgs Draw Birmingham

The Georgia Gym Dawgs team will compete in the first semifinal session of the NCAA Championships April 18 at 2 p.m. ET at the BJCC in Birmingham, Ala. The sixth-seeded Gym Dogs will compete against No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 3 LSU, No. 7 Michigan, No. 10 Stanford and No. 11 Illinois.

The second session is slated to begin at 8 p.m. and includes No. 1 Florida, No. 4 Alabama, No. 5 Utah, No. 8 UCLA, No. 9 Nebraska and No. 15 Penn State. The top three teams in each session will advance to the Super Six on Saturday, April 19 at p.m.

Georgia’s rotation for the first session will be vault, bye, bars, beam, bye, floor. The Gym Dogs (14-9) finished second in the NCAA Athens Regional with a 196.375. Ten-time national champion Georgia is making its 30th appearance in the NCAA Championships.

The top four individuals from each session in each event (plus ties) from the preliminary team and all-around competition will compete in the individual-event competition Sunday, April 20 at 3 p.m.
