[break] University of Georgia pitcher Robert Tyler underwent an MRI on his right elbow Saturday in Athens and no structural damage was noted.
[break] [break] The ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) is intact. Tyler’s injury is muscular in nature, and he will be progressed back to pitching as tolerated.
[break] [break] Tyler, a sophomore native of Cordele, Ga., is 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA in three starts this season. He has 22 strikeouts and six walks in 14 innings pitched. On Friday, he made a start against Georgia Southern in Statesboro and left the game due to an injury with two outs in the fourth inning.
[break] [break] The 18th-ranked Bulldogs (6-2) and Eagles (6-4) are in the middle of a three-game series.
