[su_spacer size=”20″] The Georgia equestrian team will pursue the program’s seventh national championship this weekend at the Extraco Event Center in Waco, Texas. As the No. 1 seed, Georgia will face ninth-seeded Kansas State in the quarterfinals of the 2015 NCEA National Championship. The Bulldogs finished the regular season with a 9-4 record before capturing the program’s first ever Southeastern Conference title. As the No. 1 seed, Georgia received a bye for the first round of competition, in which Kansas State defeated SMU 10-5. The Wildcats enter the competition with a 7-7 regular season competition and as the 2015 Big 12 Reserve Champions.

[su_spacer size=”40″] The Bulldogs and the Wildcats met once before during the 2014-15 campaign, when Georgia earned a 14-4 win at a neutral location in Martin, Tennessee. The quarterfinal round is set to begin at approximately 8:45 Friday, April 17 with Reining. Because all brackets will run concurrently, the meet will continue for the duration of the day.
