Lauren Herring and Ellen Perez Advance in NCAA Doubles

[su_spacer size=”20″] Georgia’s 11th-ranked Lauren Herring and Ellen Perez won their opening round doubles match against Miami’s Lina Lileikite and Stephanie Wagner (17), 6-2, 6-2 at the NCAA Doubles Championship Thursday.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Herring and Perez advance to play Florida’s Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan in the round of 16 Friday at 3 p.m. ET at Baylor University’s Hurd Tennis Center.
[su_spacer size=”40″] “It’s always good to get that first win under your belt, especially here where the conditions were kind of difficult,” Herring said. “I thought we played well today.”
[su_spacer size=”40″] The Bulldog duo is now 18-8 this season, including nine wins against ranked opponents. They extended their winning streak to six matches with the win against the Hurricanes. Herring was an NCAA doubles finalist in 2014 with Maho Kowase.
