MEN’S GOLF: Georgia Slips to 6th Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational

The No. 8 Georgia men’s golf team slipped to sixth place on Monday in the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.

 

Fourth after the first day, the Bulldogs finished Monday at 4-under 284, giving them a two-round total of 12-under 560. Wake Forest has the team lead at 546, followed by Southern Cal at 548, Duke at 550, Stanford at 552 and Texas at 559. Georgia is tied for sixth with TCU.

 

Junior Greyson Sigg paced the Bulldogs on Monday as he signed for a 4-under 68. Senior Lee McCoy added a 2-under 70, while senior Sepp Straka and junior Jaime Lopez Rivarola each carded a 1-over 73. Sophomore Zach Healy had the Bulldogs’ drop score of 2-over 74.

Sigg and McCoy are tied for fifth individually at 7-under 136. Texas’ Beau Hossler and Duke¹s Max Greyserman share the lead at 10-under 133.

The Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational will conclude on Tuesday. Georgia will be paired with Texas and Stanford beginning at 11:50 a.m. Live results can be found at GolfStat.com.
