Jackson Harris knows it would be easy to look ahead to their upcoming opponent, but he’s just focused on taking it one day at a time.
The Bulldogs undefeated start definitely has generated buzz and excitement for the team, but they understand that they cannot look ahead too much to what could happen in the future. Jackson Harris is one of the Bulldog’s more experienced tight ends and he understands that the team needs to retain its focus and take each and every day one at a time.
“We’re just focusing on getting back to fundamentals, practicing real hard, and we just wanna keep building. You know, we’re just using this as an opportunity to get better so we can go into next week a better team than we were last week,” said Harris. “Just one day at a time and focus on getting better each day.”
It is going to be important for the Bulldogs to keep this mindset as they continue to add wins to their season total. Kirby Smart preaches to his team that they can lose any week and that they cannot become complacent with where they are. It could be easy for the Bulldogs to have a complacent mindset as they are the number three team in the country.
However, if the Bulldogs can continue to view each and every day as another day for improvement, then they could be on the brink of something special. Kirby Smart has turned this team around in his second season, but they need to continue to build their resume and take it one day at a time if they hope to become a national contender.
