What life lessons did you learn while at UGA?

How to properly manage my allowance to drink as much beer as possible without running out of gas.

What professor did you most admire (and why)?

I had an adjunct professor in Political Science that was a fascinating guy. Forgot his name, but I always loved learning from people with real life experience. Oh and there was a History professor that taught history of the Cold War, great class. I think his last name was Leary. It’s been a while.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

I hope it has yet to come. Staying alive with all my facilities in tact is a pretty big miracle thus far.

Which historical figure do you most identify with?

I always like Paul Revere, read about him a few years ago in The Tipping Point by M. Gladwell. HE was a connector, meaning he knew everyone and was congenial. I’d like to think I have a shred of his traits.

Who are your heroes in real life?

My Parents. Anyone who is intelligent and doesn’t care about going against popular opinion I have great respect and admiration for. Basically, all contrarians. Tom Petty – I’m sort of obsessed with him right now. Watched a bio in him and he rules.

Quote to live by:

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Good wine and medium rare steaks with friends and family somewhere beautiful, mountains or beach.

What is your most marked characteristic?

I hope affability. Some might say impatience, though. I know, it’s contradictory.

What do you most value in your friends?

Humor, intelligence and weirdness.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I insist on doing everything at the last minute, it’s maddening.

Who are your favorite writers (and why)?

David Foster Wallace’s non-fiction- total genius and very funny.
John Irving (fiction) – prolific and strange. Also very funny

Fave social media and who to follow (and why)?

Instagram- Because it’s cool seeing people’s photos and comments, even your favorite athletes, celebs, etc. and the outrageously beautiful Insta-models of course.
