Murray and I look at the few upsets from round one last week, only 13 of the lower seeded advanced out of the 112 games played, and then break down round two of the Georgia High School Football Playoffs. We are down from 32 teams to 16 teams in each classification from single A all the way up to 7A.

And some of those high schools got their very first-ever playoff win; so congratulations to these schools, their players, and coaches: B.E.S.T. Academy, Eagle’s Landing,
Grovetown, Jackson of Atlanta, Mount Vernon Presbyterian, Mountain View, and Pike County.

Also congratulations to the Jenkins County War Eagles, who won their first playoff game in over 57 years. Jenkins County, a No. 14 seed out of class single A public program out of region 3 beat No. 19 seed Miller County last Friday 30-14. The War Eagles will take on No. 3 seed Emmanuel County Institute Friday night.
