Did you see the “hang on” win over North Carolina as a direct reflection of the Steve Spurrier impact in Columbia . . . i.e. they expect to win now?

I think the best thing about the UNC win is that Spurrier didn’t panic, didn’t abandon the run game. Having covered him at Florida and South Carolina, the evolution of Steve has been his willingness to not try to come from behind by throwing it on every down. He’s much more patient.

Average team by SEC standards. Quarterback issues … lack of depth at wide receiver … and they don’t have the playmakers on defense they enjoyed during those three straight 11-win seasons.

One of the most talented teams in the league–per usual. They simply cannot lose one of those games to an inferior opponent as they usually do every year. The East should belong to them if they don’t have a letdown week. Love, love, love Nick Chubb.

Top five for sure. My favorite spot in the SEC. Love the restaurants and night life. Everything is convenient.

If he keeps enjoying success, he’s in no hurry to leave. Another year like 2014, and the golf course is looking pretty good. I think what Steve has realized though … nothing can match his love for coaching college football. If I was a betting man … I’d say two more years.

Georgia. You can expect Carolina’s best punch, but I don’t think it will be enough. If Kentucky can roll up yards and points in Columbia … I expect much more of the same in Athens.
