Week 7 Georgia High School Football Report

2017-GHSA-football-edit-by-Bob-Miller

The Georgia high school football season is rolling along as we head into week No. 7. Murry and I take a look at the top teams in each of the state’s classification, upsets and close-calls from last week, and what are the biggest games this weekend in this episode of the Weekly Georgia High School Football Report.

Can anyone knock off Class AAAA Cartersville and senior quarterback Trevor Lawrence? Two undefeated Region 7, Class 5A teams do battle on Friday night when Carrollton travels to Rome; so, will the Trojans or Wolves take the early lead in the region standings? Plus, can Clarke Central got to Buford in Region 8, Class 5A play and break Buford’s 47-game region win streak that dates back to 2009? And what could be a game of the week will be between two teams ranked in the top 5 in the state in their classification when Class 6A Coffee County travels to McConnell-Talbert Stadium to take on an undefeated Class 5A Warner Robins squad.

Note: This episode of the Weekly Georgia High School Football Report was recorded on Thursday afternoon.
