A Look Back

Georgia softball widened its winning streak to 10 games after a 5-0 weekend at the 16th Annual Georgia Classic over the weekend. The Bulldogs earned four shutouts along the way, allowing only one unearned run in five games. Freshman Savana Sikes led the offense, driving in eight runs while hitting .417 and slugging 1.083. She highlighted the weekend with a two-run walk-off home run to end Friday evening’s game against UMass in five innings.

In Georgia’s first midweek action of the season, the Bulldogs defeated Presbyterian 7-1 at Jack Turner Stadium. A five-run fifth coupled with stellar pitching in the circle secured Georgia’s 11th-straight win.

Georgia in the Polls

The Bulldogs stay at #8 in the week three USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll while rising to #8 in the USA Softball/ESPN.com Poll.
