Georgia Bulldog baseball players are heating up now that summer leagues are in full swing around the country.

 

Here’s a brief look at how some of the Bulldogs are doing in their respective leagues:

 

Coastal Plain League

Keene: Tim Elliott (3-0, 1.68 ERA) has enjoyed an impressive debut this month including being named the NECBL Pitcher of the Week and a spot on the league’s Honor Roll. He has made five appearances including three starts for a total of 21.1 innings with just three walks and 29 strikeouts. In his last start, an 8-2 win over North Adams this past Sunday, Elliott pitched seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts. Third baseman Mitchell Webb (.271-1-5) has played in 16 games while outfielder Tucker Bradley (.273-1-5) has seen action in 15 contests and collected a league-leading 10 stolen bases. Bradley made the Honor Roll in week one after collecting a league-best eight hits, seven runs and four stolen bases. First baseman Patrick Sullivan, who redshirted for the Bulldogs in 2017, will report to Keene later this week.

Savannah: Infielder LJ Talley (.282-0-13) has started 21 games and was part of the Coastal Plain League (CPL) Select Team that blanked the USA Collegiate National Team 10-0 this past Monday. A committee comprised of league coaches, officials and Major League scouts selected the CPL Select Team. Talley is fielding .993 at first base with just one error in 143 total chances.

Florence: James Williams (2-0, 1.69 ERA) ranks fourth on the team in ERA, making six appearances for a total of 10.2 innings with five walks and six strikeouts. Catcher Mason Meadows (.286-0-9) has started nine games while infielder Riley King (.220-0-8) has made 11 starts.

Newport: Trevor Tinder (1-2, 6.39 ERA) has pitched in four games with three starts. In 12.2 innings, he has issued eight walks with 17 strikeouts.

 

California Collegiate League

Orange County: Will Proctor (.241-0-13, 0-0, 6.00 ERA) has seen action as an infielder and a pitcher for the Riptides. Seven of his 13 hits have gone for extra bases including five doubles and two triples. He has made three relief outings for a total of three innings with one walk and three strikeouts.

Cape Cod League

Brewster: Catcher Michael Curry (.308-0-7) has played in nine games, hitting safely in six of them, while Ryan Avidano (0-0, 4.05 ERA) has made three appearances and one start. He pitched 3.1 scoreless innings with four strikeouts against Bourne on Monday while Curry went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Tony Locey (0-1, 7.50 ERA) has made two appearances including one start for a total of six innings with four walks and 11 strikeouts.

Orleans: Kevin Smith (1-1, 2.70 ERA) has made a pair of starts, tossing 10 innings with four walks and six strikeouts.

Wareham: Justin Glover (1-0, 1.12 ERA) is slated to make his third appearance including second start on Tuesday. In eight innings, he has tallied six strikeouts and only one walk.Blakely Brown (0-0, 11.81 ERA) has pitched twice in relief for a total of 5.1 innings with three strikeouts.

Falmouth: Catcher Austin Biggar (.143-1-2) has played in seven games and smacked a home run in a 9-3 loss to Orleans earlier this month.

Bourne: Christian Ryder (1-0, 3.37 ERA) has made two relief appearances for a total of 2.2 innings. He picked up his first win last Saturday over Hyannis.

 

Great Lakes League

Licking County: Addison Albright (1-2, 5.10 ERA) has pitched in five games with two starts for a total of 12.1 innings. He has issued nine walks with seven strikeouts. This past Saturday, he went five innings for his first victory, a 17-7 decision over Lorain County.

 

Sunbelt League

Norcross: Outfielder Tucker Maxwell (.257-0-1) has played in 11 games with six walks and four stolen bases.

 

USA Collegiate National Team

Shortstop Cam Shepherd (.200-0-0) earned an invitation to training camp in Cary, N.C., and he has played in four games with one start. He is 1-for-5 at the plate with two runs scored and three walks for the USA CNT. Prior to the invitation, he had planned to play for Wareham in the Cape Cod League.

 

Valley League

Front Royal: Adam Goodman (0-0, 13.50 ERA) has seen action in five games as a reliever for a total of 4.2 innings with six walks and two strikeouts.
