COACH’S CORNER

Ike Cousins Head Baseball Coach Scott Stricklin on Georgia’s performance:

“We took advantage of some things and played really well today. Overall, you have to be pleased when you win 7-0. Defensively, we made some nice plays around the diamond, and they did too. I thought Tony didn’t have his best stuff but he competed well. This was going to be tough start for him because he committed to Georgia Southern as a sophomore and then changed his mind so there was going to be some emotions, and we talked about that. He stayed within himself and showed again he’s got a big-time arm. ”
