A Gold Glove-winning outfielder, he played in 1,480 games, hit 160 home runs, tallied 698 RBI and batted .261. The 33-year-old Francoeur spent six years with the Atlanta Braves and ultimately played for eight different Major League clubs. Ike Cousins head baseball coach Scott Stricklin is in his fifth season leading the Bulldogs. Georgia returns 26 veterans including all nine starting position players and have nine newcomers too. The 2018 college baseball season opens Feb. 16.
