It is going to be a busy summer for the Diamond Dogs and Head Coach Scott Stricklin. The Georgia baseball team will have 26 players participating in summer leagues around the country while Foley Field will again be the site of various camps.

Nine Bulldogs are headed to the Cape Cod League, which opens on June 14. Wareham will feature Cam Shepherd, Justin Glover and Blakely Brown. Brewster has a trio of Bulldogs in Michael Curry, Tony Locey and Ryan Avidano. Kevin Smith (Orleans), Austin Biggar (Falmouth) and Christian Ryder (Bourne) round out the Bulldog contingent heading to the premier amateur baseball league that has been around since 1885.

Six Bulldogs will be competing in the New England Collegiate Baseball League with Opening Day set for June 6. Mitchell Webb, Tim Elliott, Tucker Bradley and Patrick Sullivan will be playing for Keene based in New Hampshire. Trevor Tinder and Blake Cairnes are playing for the Newport (Rhode Island) club. On June 2, play begins in the Valley League in Virginia and the Sunbelt Baseball League in metro Atlanta. Adam Goodman will pitch for Front Royal in the Valley League while Tucker Maxwell, Shane Tucker and incoming freshman CJ Smith have plans to play in the Sunbelt. California native Will Proctor will play for the Orange County Riptide in the California Collegiate League, and their first game will be June 7. Addison Albright is going to the Great Lakes Summer League that opens June 8, and he will pitch for the Licking County Settlers in Ohio.

The Coastal Plain League season is underway, and five Bulldogs are competing in this league. Logan Moody and LJ Talley are with the defending champion Savannah (Ga.) Bananas while James Williams, Mason Meadows and Riley King are playing for Florence (S.C.) RedWolves who are 2-0. Williams picked up a win in relief earlier this week while Meadows went 3-for-7 with four RBI and King posted a productive debut (2-for-3, 3 runs scored and a stolen base).

The Scott Stricklin Baseball Camps will be held at Foley Field during the months of June and July, and a limited number of spots remain for the following sessions: Summer Day Camp (June 12-15; June 19-22, June 26-29 and July 10-13).
