The Bulldogs, under the direction of Scott Stricklin, are looking to qualify for the SEC Tournament as 12 of the 14 squads make it this year. Currently, Georgia is in 14th place in the SEC, a half game behind Tennessee and Miss. State who are both 7-14 while Alabama is next at 8-13. The Gators are two games behind No. 6 Vanderbilt (33-13, 15-6) in the Eastern Division and in the race for the SEC title. Georgia is 10th in the SEC in batting (.266), 12th in ERA (4.22) and ninth in fielding (.971). Florida leads the nation in fielding at .985 and ranks third in the SEC in batting (.304) and fourth in the league in ERA (3.29).
