ATHENS, Ga. — Caliya Robinson, who helped lead the Georgia Lady Bulldogs basketball team to its best record since the 2006-07 season and a second-place finish in the Southeastern Conference standings, has been named a 2018 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-America honorable mention selection.

The Marietta, Georgia native tied for the team lead in scoring with 12.9 points per game while pacing the squad with 8.1 rebounds per contest this past year.

Robinson’s 101 blocks were the second-most in the SEC and just two shy of breaking the Georgia single-season record. She is now one of five Lady Bulldogs all-time to record 200 or more blocks in a career.

In addition to being named a regional finalist and honorable mention selection for the All-America team, Robinson earned second-team All-SEC honors and was tabbed to the SEC All-Defensive Team for the second-straight year. The 6-foot-3 junior was also among five finalists for the prestigious Katrina McClain Award, which goes to the nation’s top power forward.

Robinson will be a senior on the 2018-19 Georgia squad that returns four of its top-5 scorers off a team that went 26-7 this past year.
