TOUGHNESS
• There is no one who represents toughness more on the Hoop Dawgs than Jaxon Etter. The former walk-on earned himself a scholarship and has persevered through difficult years of Georgia Basketball. Etter has been on the receiving end of 37 charges in his last 38 games and 45 in his last 48 outings.
• Jaylin Ingram is another Bulldog who fits Mike White’s definition of toughness. Ingram is one of five 7th year seniors in the nation. Having spent five seasons at FAU, Ingram ranks sixth all time in scoring and third all time in rebounds. The Madison native transferred back to his home state Bulldogs last season but suffered a season ending injury against Jacksonville. Ingram has displayed his grit and toughness for the Bulldogs this season.
ATTITUDE
• The key to creating a positive and healthy culture starts with getting players to buy in with the right attitude. Freshman KyeRon Lindsay has made an immediate impact for the Dawgs earning multiple starts for the Dawgs. Lindsay was a former top 100 recruit with a plethora of offers. Instead of going to a program with a tenured head coach and an implemented culture, Lindsay bought into Coach White’s system and has made a significant impact for the Bulldogs.
• Terry Roberts is another transfer for who is playing his final season for the Bulldogs. The transfer from Bradley has brought loads of experience and grit, something Georgia needed. Roberts is leading the Bulldogs in scoring averaging the most points per game with 14.2. The guard’s leadership and attitude are one of the prominent factors as to why Georgia’s culture is evolving and changing.
INTEGRITY
• Braelen Bridges’ offensive efficiency has been an integral part of Mike White’s first season. Another transfer, the senior from Atlanta converted on more than 63% of his field goal attempts last year which ranked 7th nationally last year. Bridges is another Bulldog who has been able to provide experience and leadership in White’s new system.
• Justin Hill is a junior transfer guard that is averaging 8.4 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game. When Mike White went out and recruited transfers, he targeted not only certain elements in player’s game, but also certain personality traits. Hill is one of the players who has come to Athens and brought strong moral principles off the court as well as solid play on the court.
LOYALTY
• Kario Oquendo embodies loyalty to the Georgia program. Last year was a massive disappointment. Oquendo was regarded by most as the Dawgs’ best player and could have easily left to join another program. Instead, Oquendo withdrew his name from the portal and remained true to Mike White and the University of Georgia.
• When talking about loyalty, Jaxon Etter must be mentioned. Despite taking an unconventional path to becoming a meaningful player, Etter’s dedication to the Georgia program is respected at the highest level.
