Tom Crean spoke to the media for the first time as Georgia’s head coach Friday afternoon.  He gave an opening statement that lasted roughly 27 minutes. Crean expressed so much enthusiasm while he spoke. He went into detail about what he hopes to bring to the University. Crean said he wants to bring high energy to Georgia Basketball.

His press conference breaks up into three parts. The first part shows athletic director Greg McGarity’s statements and then goes into Crean’s remarks. Part two finishes up his opening statement and the final part is Crean answering media questions. Throughout the press conference, he commanded the room and spoke about what he plans on bringing to Georgia. Crean expressed how much of a national program Georgia is and how excited he is to have the job. He appears to be an emotional coach that demands perfection from his players. Crean made sure to let the media know it won’t just be about basketball, but the academics too.
