UGA men’s basketball freshman Toumani Camara talks about leadership roles as a freshman, getting through the current losing streak, and overcoming the mistakes in the second half the team has made in those losses.
Camara is fourth on the team in average minutes played per game with 23.1, which has thrust him into a leadership role as a freshman.
Toumani Camara on leading as a freshman…
“I’ve always been a leader by example. I’ve never really spoken up a lot. I’ve always been a quiet kid. Something that I want to change is really to speak up, present my voice. Not only lead by example but to tell people what to do.”
“It should come from everybody. If we are losing, we need to huddle up and tell each other to pick it up. It doesn’t have to come from one person. Everybody knows and everybody should be on the same page.”
