After testing himself at the NBA combine, Nicolas Claxton has decided to keep his name in the draft and leave UGA.

Claxton has intriguing physical tools and an improving game. He’s a nice shot blocker and solid overall defender who will continue to improve as he adds to his frame.

He’s not a polished offensive player and struggles to shoot the ball from outside and from the FT line but has decent form and should add this to his game as he matures. He’s got a quick first step when driving the ball and can score facing up or with his back to the basket.

At this point Claxton is an upside prospect who shows enough flashes to be in the first round conversation.
