On how he thinks he has progressed thus far in the season/on how much pressure he puts on himself to help his team improve in rebounding…

“I still think I have a lot of work to do, especially rebounding wise. I need to get more rebounds because I feel like I’m sort of wasting my size…Rebounding has always been a big part of my game. I feel like I haven’t been doing enough of that lately, and I definitely need to improve.”

On his inability to put two halves together…

“I think the ball comes more my way the first half than the second half. I just need to play, because that’s just how the game is. I may score 10 points the first half; Anthony [Edwards] may score 20 in the second half. It’s the way it is. At the end of the day, we just want the ‘W.’”

On how he views his role on the team/whether it can change within a single game…

“I don’t think my role changes, but I think I need to be a motor the entire game at both ends of the court defensively. All the time, I need to have energy and be consistent and not make as many mistakes— stuff like that.”
