The Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team has earned a No. 6 seed and first-round bye in the 2016 SEC Tournament, the league office announced on Sunday.

Georgia, which finished the regular season with a 21-8 overall record and 9-7 mark in SEC action, will face the winner of the matchup between No. 11 seed Vanderbilt and 14th-seeded Ole Miss in Thursday’s late game. UGA’s contest will start 25 minutes following the conclusion of the Arkansas vs. Tennessee game, which is slated to begin at 6 p.m. ET.

All games will take place at Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, with the first round set to begin on Wednesday, followed by second round, quarterfinal and semifinal action. The championship game is set to take place on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

All games throughout the tournament will be televised. The first, second and quarterfinal rounds will be televised on the SEC Network, while the semifinals will air on ESPNU and the championship on ESPN.

Georgia owns a 46-32 all-time record in the SEC Tournament and has claimed the title four times — 1983, 1984, 1986 and 2001. This will be the Lady Bulldogs’ third appearance as a No. 6 seed.
