The Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team will host the Oklahoma Sooners during the 2020-21 season as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge, the league office announced on Thursday.
There will be 10 total matchups between teams from the two conferences in 2020. Dates and times for each of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge contests will be announced at a later date.
This season marks the seventh year of the Challenge, which began in 2014.
Georgia owns a 4-1 all-time record against the Sooners. The teams last met in 2009, when the Lady Bulldogs defeated Oklahoma 62-51 at Stegeman Coliseum.
The Lady Bulldogs return 11 of 13 total letterwinners, including their top four scorers off last year’s squad. Georgia also adds UConn transfer Mikayla Coombs as well as highly-touted freshmen Sarah Ashlee Barker and Zoesha Smith to this season’s roster.
