ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia’s Yante Maten and Juwan Parker will represent the Southeastern Conference in the inaugural Dos Equis 3x3U National Championship this weekend in San Antonio. The tournament will pit teams from 32 college conferences in a 3-on-3 format.

Maten and Parker will be joined by South Carolina’s Frank Booker and Missouri’s Cassius Robertson to form the SEC squad. The teams, comprised of seniors who have exhausted their college eligibility, will compete for a $100,000 prize pool. 

Maten was named AP SEC Player of the Year this season and was a consensus first-team All-SEC selection. He led the league in scoring at 19.3 ppg and finished his career ranked among Georgia’s top-5 leaders in points (No. 2 with 1886), rebounds (No. 4 with 889) and blocked shots (No. 3 with 198).

Parker was the Bulldogs’ second-leading scorer in SEC action, averaging 9.3 ppg while shooting 43.8 percent from 3-point range and 85.4 percent at the line.

Pool play will begin this evening at the Bill Greehey Arena on the campus of St. Mary’s University with 24 games from 7:00 p.m.-Midnight ET. Pool play will continue on Saturday with another 24 games from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. ET. On Sunday, the quarterfinals will be contested between 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET. All of the aforementioned games will be streamed live on Twitter.

The 3-on-3 semifinals and the third-place and championship games will be televised live on ESPN2 on Sunday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. ET.

Participants will compete for a $100,000 prize pool that will be distributed as follows:

• Each pool play win will earn the team $1,000.

• A quarterfinal win will earn the team $1,000.

• A semifinal win will earn the team $1,000.

• The team that wins the third-place game will earn $1,000

• The team that wins the championship will earn $50,000.
