Bailey Anderson and Liza Finsness have earned Southeastern Conference Rider of the Month honors for February. Finsness won the award in Equitation Over Fences while Anderson shares the honor in Horsemanship with Hannah Loseke of Auburn. This marks the third and fourth SEC Rider of the Month awards for Georgia this season.

This is the first honor for Finsness in Equitation Over Fences. However, she was named SEC Rider of the Month in Equitation on the Flat for November. Finsness was named SEC Freshman of the Year in both Equitation on the Flat and Equitation Over Fences at the conclusion of the 2013-14 season.

The junior from Wellington, Fla. went 4-0 in February with scores of 81 or better in all competitions. She beat her opponents by an average of 7.25 points, and two of her highest scores (88 and 87) came in the first round of competition.

This is also the first SEC Rider of the Month award for Anderson, a sophomore from Fort Worth, Texas. Anderson finished the month of February with an unblemished 4-0 record in Horsemanship. She earned two MOP honors with a score of 74.5 or better in three of her four competitions. Her largest margin of victory this month came in a 74.5-70 win against No. 10 Kansas State, which earned one of her MOP honors.

Anderson, Finsness and the Georgia equestrian team will travel to Las Cruces, N.M. to take on New Mexico State March 5. Competition is slated to begin at noon ET.
