ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia equestrian senior Bailey Anderson has been named SEC Horsemanship Rider of the Month for her rides throughout the month of March, the conference announced on Wednesday.

The Fort Worth, Texas native improved to 8-2 on the season after defeating her SMU and Texas A&M opponents by an average of 4.5 points with scores of 75.5 and 76, respectively. Both rides earned her MOP honors, bringing her total to seven throughout regular season action.

This marks Anderson’s second monthly honor from the conference this season after receiving the same award in October.

The defending SEC Champion and top-ranked Georgia equestrian team will compete for the 2018 SEC Championship Title this weekend in Blythewood, South Carolina.

In the semifinal round of competition on Friday, March 30, Georgia will face South Carolina. The winning team will then advance to face the winner of Auburn versus Texas A&M to determine the SEC Champion on Saturday, March 31.
