The Georgia equestrian team has been awarded the No. 1 seed for the SEC Championship, which will be held in Auburn, Alabama on March 24-25.

The Bulldogs finished regular season competition on a five-meet win streak with a 9-4 overall record and 4-2 mark in SEC action.

For the conference championship, Auburn has received the No. 2 seed with Texas A&M checking in at No. 3, followed by South Carolina at No. 4.

Seeding for the SEC Equestrian Championships is determined by conference winning percentage at the conclusion of a six-meet conference regular season schedule for each team, during which each squad faces every SEC foe home and away.

In the semifinal round of competition on Friday, March 24, the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds will face off in the morning session, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. CT, followed by the No. 1 and No. 4 seeds squaring off in the afternoon session at 1:30 p.m. CT. The two losing teams will meet in a consolation round on Saturday, March 25 at 9 a.m. CT. The two winning teams from the semifinals will then meet in the championship finals at 1:30 p.m. CT.
