The No. 2 Georgia equestrian team welcomes Alabama to the UGA Equestrian Complex in Bishop, Ga. for an exhibition competition on Sunday, Oct. 2. The competition is slated to begin at 12 p.m., and admission is free.

The exhibition against Alabama is Hunt Seat only. Thus, the Bulldog Western riders will compete in an intra-squad scrimmage running simultaneously with the Hunt Seat action against the Crimson Tide.

“We’re very excited to host Alabama,” head coach Meghan Boenig said. “They are very competitive, and we support them in their progress and development towards NCAA status. We hope to welcome them to compete in the SEC and NCAA in the future.”

Georgia last hosted Alabama for a scrimmage on Oct. 17, 2014, with the Bulldogs sweeping the Crimson Tide 8-0 in Hunt Seat events.

The Bulldogs will officially kick off the 2016-17 campaign on Oct. 7 when they travel to No. 8 South Carolina to face the Gamecocks.
