Senior Payton Anderson of the No. 1 Georgia equestrian team will represent UGA and the National Collegiate Equestrian Association at the 2017 AQHA Collegiate Horsemanship Challenge Sunday at the AQHA World Championship show in Oklahoma City.

Anderson, a native of Monroe, Washington, is one of eight riders selected from NCEA institutions, while eight riders were also chosen to represent the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association institutions. All 16 riders will compete on unfamiliar America Quarter Horses.

Anderson was chosen by the NCEA selection committee based on her statistics from the 2016-17 season. As a junior, Anderson rode to a 6-6 record in Horsemanship, scoring a season- high 76.5 in her first career start at Oklahoma State.

Georgia will close out the fall portion of its schedule on the road at Delaware State on Friday, November 17.
