[su_spacer size=”20″] Fans will have the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the No. 1-ranked Georgia equestrian team when it kicks off its 2015-16 season on Friday, Sept. 18 with the annual Red and Black Scrimmage at the UGA Equestrian Complex in Bishop, Ga. The scrimmage begins at 4 p.m., and admission is free.

“This is such a wonderful competition opportunity and a great time for the team to hone their skills, particularly the freshmen,” head coach Meghan Boenig said. “It’s an incredible and exciting day. I look forward to kicking off the season with this champion group of women.”

Georgia looks to build off its successful 2014-15 campaign that saw the Bulldogs finish with a 9-4 record during the regular season, before going 4-1 in the post season.

The first 100 fans in attendance at Friday’s scrimmage will receive an “I <3 UGA Equestrian” button. In addition to seeing the Bulldogs take the ring for the first time, posters, magnets and schedule cards will be available at the promotions table located near the main entrance.

Immediately following competition the Bulldogs will receive their SEC Championship rings.

Georgia’s regular season gets underway Sept. 25 at 10 a.m., when the Bulldogs host Texas A&M.
