Sara Parr and Kylee Arbuckle Are SEC Riders of the Month

[su_spacer size=”20″] Sara Parr (Horsemanship) and Kylee Arbuckle (Equitation on the Flat) have been named the SEC Riders of the Month. This is the second SEC Rider of the Month award for Parr and the fourth for Arbuckle, both earned the honors in February.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Parr finished the month of March with an unblemished 2-0 record in Horsemanship, earning MOP honors on both rides. She scored a 75 or better in both competitions.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Her first win was against Fresno State on the road with an event high score of 75.5. She continued the momentum into the next day, as she picked up the win against No. 4 TCU with an event high score of 75. Both rides earned MOP honors, which ties Parr for the most MOP honors this season in the SEC with five. Her two wins also give her the second most individual victories of any SEC rider with nine.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Arbuckle rode to a perfect 2-0 record in Equitation on the Flat, both wins coming on the road. In each of her wins, she defeated her opponent by at least nine points and scored 91 or better.

[su_spacer size=”20″] She rode to a 91-82 decision against Fresno State. Next she used a 95-74 victory over No. 4 TCU and was awarded MOP honors. Her score of 95 marks the second highest score of any SEC rider this season and her score of 91 ranks among the top 10 highest scores in the SEC. Her win against TCU was her eleventh individual victory of the season, the most in the SEC.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Parr, Arbuckle and the Georgia equestrian team travel to College Station, Texas this weekend for the SEC Championship. The first round of competition will be Friday March 27, followed by the final day on March 28.
