[su_spacer size=”10″] Sara Parr has been named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) February Rider of the Month in Horsemanship. This is the first NCEA Rider of the Month honor of her career and she is the sixth Georgia equestrian to receive the honor this season.

Parr finished the month of February with an unblemished 4-0 record in Horsemanship, with three of her four wins coming against top-five teams. She scored a 77 or better in three of her four competitions.

Her first win was against No. 3 South Carolina with an event high score of 79.5. That score was good enough for the third highest score of SEC competition this year, and the MVP honor. She kept her momentum going, as the next day she picked up the win against Delaware State with an event high score of 82.5. That score was also good enough for the MVP honor, as well as the highest score of SEC competition this year.

The next weekend, she picked up the 71-67 win against No. 4 Auburn before concluding the month with a 77-74.5 win over No. 5 Texas A&M and another MVP honor.

Parr and the Georgia equestrian team will next travel to Fresno, Calif. to take on Fresno State March 6, followed by TCU on March 7.
