The Bulldawg Illustrated staff use their best powers of prognostication and foresight to predict the outcome of today’s Georgia vs. Notre Dame game.

Hamilton Culpepper, UGA 42-17

“Big things coming from the receivers as there will 3 touchdowns through the air. On the ground, (D’Andre) Swift and (Brian) Herrin rush for over 80 and a touchdown each and then a defensive touchdown. The Dawgs are just too much for the Irish! Dawgs on top!”

Jeff Dantzler, 27-25

“Tonight’s game is a huge challenge which has had an even bigger build-up, as Notre Dame makes its first-ever trip to Athens. But if Georgia can unlock the Five Keys to Victory, it’ll be Dawgs 27-25.”

“I’m thinking this will be a close game with Notre Dame piggy-packing their successful season last year and all of the hype building up until now. Our offense will hold their own and kick a field goal at some point but our defense will be able to hold them enough to where we walk out of Sanford with heads high.”

Caroline Kinney, UGA 31-17

“The Dawgs take the lead early in the first quarter and hold the lead for the duration. The Dawgs’ run game, anchored by Swift, Cook and with strong showings by Zeus and Herrien, will overwhelm the Notre Dame D-line. Watch out for young (George) Pickens with some impressive catches and yardage. UGA’s defense will keep QB (Ian) Book and Coach (Brian) Kelly frustrated with its explosive blitz and rush.”

Cheri Leavy, UGA 21-19

“It’s what we did last time, and I’m hoping we have the same luck this year with all of our new talent pulling yet another win! I had so much fun last year that if we repeat it all, I’m thrilled!”

Vance Leavy, 42-24

“Two years ago, yours truly was the only one to pick Notre Dame, 20-17. Thankfully Rodrigo was true as 19-17 blue and gold almost happened. 2017 was different teams for both Georgia and the Irish. Kirby’s 2019 Canines cover the spread.  Go Dawgs!”

Lance McCurley, 45-20

“I think Georgia will win by at least two touchdowns over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. I don’t see ND’s defense stopping Georgia’s run game, and I think the defense will shut down Ian Book as well. I think the Fighting Irish score late when the game is in hand for Georgia.”

Bob Miller, UGA 31-28

“This is one of the deepest and most talented Georgia teams I’ve seen in 25-years, and the game is between the hedges on Dooley Field. On paper, the Dawgs look like they should win by a bunch, but Notre Dame is a talented team. And they are not going to come into Sanford and just lay down. There is a reason they are called the “Fighting Irish.” Perhaps I’m channeling some Larry Munson as this game draws near, but this has the makings of a titanic fight. The Bulldogs will win in the fourth quarter on the leg of one Rodrigo Blankenship yet again, 31-28.”

Greg Poole, 38-17

“Notre Dame has the starters to hang with Georgia, but for how long? UGA’s talented depth is too much and the Bulldogs pull away in the second half, winning soundly by double-digits.”

Murray Poole, UGA 31-21

“The Fighting Irish will be highly motivated after hearing the national pundits all week saying they’re going to get blown out of Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium by Georgia. Dawgs roll but closer than expected.”

Kathryn Clark Wildes, UGA 35-24

“Georgia (obviously), because Notre Dame’s defensive line has been giving up a lot of yards (per my Sweet Paul) and we’ve got (D’Andre) Swift! Go Dawgs!”
