Championship Game Predictions From Four Common Opponents

Georgia and Alabama have four common Southeastern Conference opponents this season. My friends and colleagues from Arkansas, Auburn, Florida and Tennessee – all of whom are regular Bulldawg Illustrated contributors – offered a score prediction. These guys breathe SEC sports and college football.

“It should be a great game, I think Georgia wins 24-21.”

Phil Elson

Phil Elson – Arkansas Radio Network“Georgia 31 – Alabama 7

Bulldogs pass rush will overwhelm Alabama and cause lots of problems. No miracles will occur in Atlanta.”

Frank Frangie

Frank Frangie – Jacksonville Radio Personality, Voice of the Jaguars“Georgia 31, Alabama 23

I think this game is close early. You could see the emotion in the Alabama team at the end of the Auburn game, how much it means to them, how badly they want to be in the College Football Playoff, per usual. But Georgia has the best team in the country. They are really good, well-coached, and motivated, particularly in the post-season against Alabama. I don’t think anybody gets the Dawgs this year.”

Bob Kesling

Bob Kesling – Tennessee Radio Network, Voice of the Vols

“I really like Georgia’s defense.  Who doesn’t. I think Alabama will have a hard time scoring.  I like Alabama in big games. They find a way to win. It will be a very physical game, but I like Georgia 24-17.”
