I think I have four guys that are ready to go right now. I’ll go into a game with a plan with a certain mindset as far as how I’m going to rotate those guys, but it depends on how the game goes and how those guys are playing. I’m going to try to let them roll and stay fresh the whole game.

[su_spacer size=”40″] Who are those four guys who will rotate at tailback?
[su_spacer size=”20″] 1. Sophomore Nick Chubb
2. Sophomore Sony Michel
3. Senior Keith Marshall
4. Junior Brendan Douglas
[su_spacer size=”40″] Coach Brown also confirmed that redshirt sophomore A.J. Turman is the 5th guy on the tailback depth chart currently and talks about his confidence in junior tailback Brendan Douglas.

He is a very versatile guy. He can catch the ball out of the backfield, does a great job in pass protection; so, I have no hesitation at all with putting him in the game and knowing he can function, and we can still run the offense.

[su_spacer size=”40″] Coach Brown discusses having a plethora of fullbacks to work with on the roster.
[su_spacer size=”40″]

Well, this is the most fullbacks I have had in my entire life. We have as many fullbacks as we do tailbacks, but it’s the same deal. We’re going to compete. Obviously a couple of guys are coming back and getting back into the fold; so, I’m going to rotate those guys. I’m not exactly sure how I’m going to do it yet but try to keep those guys fresh as well because they take more contact that anybody. They’re glorified o-linemen. They’re battering rams. I’m going to try to take care of them as much as I can and keep them fresh. Game by game and week by week.

[su_spacer size=”40″] Coach Brown did confirm that senior Quayvon Hicks is his number one fullback, at the moment, and that sophomore fullback Christian Payne is working his way back from the fractured fibula he sustained in Georgia’s first scrimmage back on August 14th. He was expected to miss four weeks which would put him returning for either the Vanderbilt game on Sept. 12th or the South Carolina game on the 19th.
