Coach Richt on if this will be Steve Spurrier’s last visit to Athens

Steve Spurrier - South Carolina head football coach - first half of SC vs UGA 09-19-2015
[su_spacer size=”20”] Coach Richt and his Bulldogs did a great job at shutting down and dominating Steve Spurrier’s Gamecocks. The Bulldogs trounced the Gamecocks by having a seemingly perfect day on the offensive side of the ball and for the most part matching that on the defensive side of the ball. This was a highlight for the Bulldogs and very tough loss for Spurrier and the rest of the South Carolina team. This game raised the question if this would be Spurrier’s last visit in Athens?

Mark Richt was questioned this weekend after his game against Coach Spurrier, if he believed that this could be Spurrier’s last game between the hedges. Mark Richt had this to say:

Oh I have no idea, I have no idea. I think Coach is one of the greatest around… As a young coach  I learned a lot from him by just watching tape… but I have no idea

[su_spacer size=”40”] Spurrier will be 71 the next time this game is played between the Bulldogs and Gamecocks. Will Spurrier ever throw his visor between the hedges again? We will just have to wait and see.
