In case you missed it with the Thanksgiving Holiday travels and all, the UGA offered Rancho Cucamonga High School quarterback CJ Stroud this past Wednesday.
The Georgia coaching staff has been actively recruiting a second quarterback in the 2020 recruiting class to join Mandarin High School, Jacksonville, FL verbal commit Carson Beck, and Stroud is one of the prospects they have been zeroing in on.
The offer comes just a few days after Stroud took an official visit to UGA to see the Bulldogs host Texas A&M last weekend on Saturday, November 23rd.
But the Georgia visit is just one of several that Stroud will be taking over the next several weekends. He took an official visit to Oregon yesterday, on Saturday, November 30th, and Stroud is set to visit Michigan on December 7th followed by Ohio State on the 14th of December, which is just a few days before the Early Signing Period begins on December 18th. Right now, the Dawgs’ coaching staff, and any other school for that matter, have their work cut out if they want to swing momentum away from the Buckeyes.
In 34 high school football games, Stroud has completed 451 of 713 passes for 6,257 yards and 69 touchdowns to just 14 interceptions. This season, he has taken his game to a whole new level, completing 242 of 361 passes for 3,566 yards and 46 touchdowns to just 8 interceptions through 12 games, helping to lead Rancho Cucamonga to a 9-4 record and the semi-finals of the Division 2 playoffs in the state of California.
