Daily Dawg Thread 04 June 2020: Recruiting spotlight on athlete Gentry Williams

UGA offered Booker T. Washington High School class of 2022 athlete Gentry Williams back on April 1st.

Gentry has 13 scholarship offers currently, and including the one from the Bulldogs, he also holds offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, Southern California, and TCU to name a few.

The 6-foot-1 and 175 lbs rising junior competes at multiple positions for the Hornets out of Tulsa, Oklahoma lining up at cornerback on defense and quarterback, running back, and wide receiver on offense. For the last two seasons, Gentry has played in over 17 games. On offense, he has completed 97 of 185 passes for 1,586 yards and 19 touchdowns to just 4 interceptions, but he has also done a lot of damage to opposing defenses with his legs, rushing for 626 yards and 6 touchdowns on 141 carries. Gentry also competes in varsity track and field in the 200-meter and 400-meter dash events as well as the 4×100 relay.

 

 

 

 

247Sports has Gentry rated a four-star athlete and one of the top-two athletes for the 2022 recruiting class. Rivals also currently rates Gentry as a four-star athlete prospect.
