Daily Dawg Thread – 04August2019: Justin Flowe Names Top-4 Schools

On Friday, Upton, CA class of 2020 linebacker Justin Flowe released his top-4 school on Twitter that included the University of Georgia, Clemson, Oregon, and the University of Miami out of over 40 scholarship offers.

Per 247Sports Composite, the 6-foot-1.5 and 225-pound rising senior is currently rated a 5-star prospect, ranked as the No. 1 ILB for 2020, No. 3 overall player nationally, and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of California. Rivals also rates Justin Flowe as a 5-star prospect and the No. 1 ILB for 2020.

Right now, if you go the crystal ball predictions from the experts over on 247, of the four schools to make Justin’s top list, Clemson looks to be the leader of the group as the Tigers have received the last four. He also recently visited Clemson on June 26th. Whichever school lands Flowe will be getting a playmaker and game-changer on defense.

During The Opening Regionals back in February, he ran a 4.68-second 40 and a 4.38-second shuttle. That speed and agility shows up on the gridiron as Flowe has racked up quite a number of defensive stats so far during his time playing varsity high school football for the Upton Scotts. He has 311 tackles, 30 of those for a loss, 14 sacks, 1 safety, 5 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 1 interception, and 3 blocked field goals. between his freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons. When you watch him play, the one thing that jumps out about Flowe is his tenacity and motor. He just doesn’t give up or quit on a play and will fight through blockers to get to the ball carrier.
