Daily Dawg Thread 05 May 2020: The University of Georgia offers wide receiver Caleb Johnson

The University of Georgia extended a scholarship offer on Monday to Greenville High School 2021 wide receiver Caleb Johnson.

Johnson has over 15 scholarship offers currently and in addition to the Bulldogs, he also holds offers from Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, TCU, and Texas A&M to name a few programs.

The 6-foot-0 and 180 lbs rising senior competes at cornerback as well as wide receiver for the Lions out of Greenville, TX. Last season, as a junior, Johnson hauled in 25 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games for the Lions. 247Sports currently ranks Johnson a three-star wide receiver prospect for 2021.

Johnson also competes in varsity track and field in the 100-meters, 200-meters, long jump, and triple jump events. He set a personal best in the 100-meter back in February with a 10.58-second time. That speed translates on the football field as well, as he has posted a 40-time of 4.39 seconds, hand-timed.
