Daily Dawg Thread 12 February 2020: Recruiting update on sophomore d-lineman Tyre West

Tift County defensive lineman Tyre West was offered by the Bulldogs back in May of 2019 and the sophomore recently visited the University of Georgia before the start of the dead period.

So far, the 6-foot-4 and 265 lbs West has over 12 scholarship offers and including Georgia, he has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, FSU, Georgia Tech, Kentuck, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech.

As a freshman, West acquitted himself well for Tift County with 41 tackles, 7 stops for a loss, 6 quarterback sacks and 5 hurries in 2018 in GHSA Class 7A football competition. He followed up his freshman campaign with a solid sophomore season this past fall for the Blue Devils with 47 tackles, 10 for a loss, 2 quarterback and 12 hurries, plus a fumble recovery. West was also invited to and competed in the 2019 GACA North-South All-Star Classic back on December 29, 2019.
