Daily Dawg Thread 17 December 2019: Georgia offers two St. Thomas Aquinas High School prospects – Anthony Hankerson and Jaden McBurrows

The University of Georgia offered a couple of prospective student-athletes from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL on Sunday. Anthony Hankerson, class of 2022, along with Ja’Den Mcburrows, class of 2021, received offers on December 15th.

Hankerson is a sophomore running back and linebacker for the Raiders and was named the defensive player of the game for his 7 tackles, 3 for a loss, performance in St. Thomas Aquinas’ 61-0 win over South Plantation back on September 13th. Hankerson was also named offensive player of the game four times in 2019 – on September 27 in the Raiders 45-24 win over Carol City. October 4 in the 56-28 win over Mandarin, October 18 in the 28-7 win over Deerfield Beach, and November 29 in the 42-0 win over Venice in the FHSAA Class 7A Football semi-finals. Of special note were his 18 carries for 142 yards and one touchdown performance versus Deerfield Beach and also, his 10 carries for 100 yards in the semi-final versus Venice.

On the year, Hankerson carried the ball 111 times for 890 yards and five touchdowns, averaging 8.0 yards per carry.
