According to the latest 247Sports Composite rankings,he ranks as the No. 27 OT and the No. 35 player in Texas. Shepherd currently holds 26 offers with the latest coming from Utah on May 14. He committed to Texas On July 29. Shepherd visited Texas twice this summer on June 5 and June 16. Texas A&M received a visit from the four-star on June 15. He made his decision between Texas and Texas A&M. On his 247Sports profile, Texas holds a 56 percent advantage while Texas A&M holds the other 44 percent. However, he could start looking elsewhere. Georgia likes him and it wouldn’t surprise me if we didn’t see him on campus for Auburn.

NEWS:

Tyler Johnson is a four-star offensive tackle from Conroe, Texas. He stands at 6-5 308 pounds. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, he ranks as the No. 36 overall prospect, the No. 8 OT, and the No. 4 prospect in Texas. Johnson currently holds 23 offers. He attended Oklahoma junior day on Feb. 17 and went for an official visit to Norman on April 13. On May 25, Johnson committed to Texas. Georgia had a shot at one point, but couldn’t get him in for a visit. The Bulldogs may have a chance, but it’s not a big one. I expect Johnson to stay committed to the Longhorns and play college ball there.
